Welcome!
The Schubert Research Group is led by Dr. Wayne H. Schubert of the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University. Focusing on atmospheric dynamics, we study a variety of meteorological phenomena, including tropical cyclones, the Intertropical Convergence Zone, the Madden-Julian Oscillation, water vapor "black holes", and subtropical highs. We utilize the latest datasets and a full complement of models, ranging from the simplest barotropic model to a state-of-the-art non-hydrostatic model. By combining in-situ observations with satellite remote sensing and modeling, we continue to make significant contributions to our understanding of the atmosphere. Please Note: Dr. Schubert is now Professor Emeritus and will not be taking on any more students. |
